Mission Statement: (See Web Site For Updated Information)
Everybody can be great, because everybody can serve. You dont have to have a college degree to serve. You dont have to have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve. You dont have to know about Plato and Aristotle to serve. ? You only need a heart full of grace, a soul generated by love, and you can be that servant. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Started as a small foundation in Columbia, Maryland in 1997, the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults (UCF) now serves young adults affected by cancer and their families nationwide. Our programs offer a tremendous amount of support to our clients, affording survivors and their families the best possible resources for all of their needs.

With the continued expansion of our offerings, volunteers remain a crucial element of UCF. Volunteerism, in fact, surges through UCF as our lifeblood, a fact proven to us daily despite the clich?d analogy. Our growth would have been impossible but for the assistance of our dedicated volunteers. Their talents, experiences, and gifts of time demonstrate true enthusiasm and commitment.

In your decision to volunteer, finding the activity which best fits your personality and strengths will provide you with the most satisfying experience. Our varied volunteer positions ensure that each individual excels and shines. The opportunities for reward appear throughout your time as a volunteer as you gain new insight into yourself as well as your community.
